Several years or more back, I had a back and forth email discussion about what was the American Redoubt with James Wesley Rawles. My contention was that the American Redoubt wasn’t necessarily Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming, it was wherever you could make a stand. He wasn’t too pleased with that statement. I told him it was impractical to think that millions of people could relocate to “his American Redoubt” in a time of crisis.
The American Redoubt isn’t a place/location, it is a state of mind, wherever you are.
Mr. Rawles has good intentions and a good website, he just needs to realize there are numerous American Redoubts.

Sourdough, Mr. Rawles is not only hard for you to take, myself and quite a few others feel exactly the same way. Since he is a multi-millionaire with his own website, followers, and multi-million dollar survival ranch “somewhere in the Redoubt”, he is often blinded by the fact of his own thoughts of self-righteousness. Being convinced he’s on the path of all that is good and right, he brooks no criticism, either on his website, or from any observers or adherents. He would never admit to a cult, although he is the leader of one. Invulnerability to criticism, and no acknowledgement of fallibility is going to be a part of his schtick until something interrupts his Holy See. His insistence on the “Redoubt” being the only place America can be resurrected after “it” happens is pretty indicative of who he wants the leader to be. He may be a quiet and dignified fanatic, but he is still a fanatic, Just read one of his books. After the fall, America is going to be retaken and reestablished by a bunch of sober, non-cussing, Christian men and women who are the most unbelievably moral people to ever exist. Everyone outside of his circle are the most depraved and horribly un-Christian people to ever live. He lives in goody-two shoes la-la land, and doesn’t wish to be disturbed.

Taking into account that Mr Rawles is also a former military intelligence officer, tends to bring up some of George Carlin’s old jokes. On my part, those jokes are not intended to be nasty or insulting, as the intelligence crowd tend to be very good when they are right, and disastrous when they are wrong. Coming from a family that has a long history with the military, you hear about both the good and bad calls that intelligence officers have made. Field commanders when they have made bad calls see the results of those bad calls immediately. Intelligence officers are more like the weather people on your local TV news stations, right or wrong, they still get paid and keep their jobs.
I think most of us realize that all we can do is make our stand wherever we are, and do our best to hold the line until the Lion of Judah returns and takes care of business.

I’ve included the following video because of its inspirational message. Whoever get the GOP Presidential nod in 2024 needs to put this man on the ticket for Vice-President. The right combination could give us 16 years of GOP dominance, and a chance to reclaim our nation.

I strongly suspect that my video was deleted by YouTube, by the way. Perhaps they came to believe, as did I, that Lt. Gov. Robinson was a threat to DEM dominance.

Great video. Yes, depending on who is running in 2024, he should be the VP or Presidential candidate. We desparately need someone like him who can connect with all communities, not just the Black community. He could even bring pretty much all the Christian communities together as well.

A slight “devil’s advocate” POV on that mother with the sex-ed book: Unless she’s capable of keeping her kids away from the Internet, they have a million times more explicit things at their fingertips. I don’t like that book either because of its amoral attitude, but the “facts of life” are out there and easily accessible, so we parents have to figure out a way to get them across along with a moral message (and of course not to 5-year-olds!).
We had “sex-ed” in 6th grade back in the ’60s, and the teachers back then were too embarrassed to be very clear, so I got my info from Penthouse magazine. Not very good guidance in terms of morality, but technically correct nonetheless.
