Yesterday’s inflation report from the US Labor Department was unpleasant, but not unpleasant enough. They estimate year-over-year (YOY) Consumer Price Index (CPI) inflation at 6.24%, the highest since December 1990, and shown below in blue. My Essentials CPI, shown below in orange, focuses only on housing; food and beverages; medical care; and energy. It is slightly more volatile, and runs on average about 0.5% above the official CPI. For October, the YOY increase in the Essentials CPI was 7.35%, the highest since July 2008. It is interesting to think of the Social Security cost of living adjustment (COLA) at only 5.9%.

Well, only because of the stress they are imposing on the people. What is needed is an elucidation of their ultimate motive and goal, based on this information, and ideas of how to fight back. If, in deed, it’s even possible to fight back. If secession is the ultimate solution, how do we avoid the pitfalls of an aggressive federal response, or prevail in the face of it?

Any individual state that tries to go it alone will get crushed. This needs to be a group effort, based on area, population, natural resources, GDP, and defensibility; see the proposed maps in the margin of my blog. Knowing conservatives and our stubborn individuality, we only will act when the threat becomes tangible to us as individuals. We are philosophically reluctant to cooperate, which is why the left keeps defeating us.
