So sorry it was your kids. Oh, well, mistakes happen!

Now we are seeing the ugly evil that lives within so many people: “Most Canadians support health-care workers refusing treatment to threatening, disrespectful unvaccinated patients” They really want you dead – and they are telling you so.

British doctors agree: “BMJ Urges Doctors to Cut Back on Treatment Because Climate Change” Their professional society is called the Mengele Society, I presume.

Caroline Glick: “Revolution Has Come to America” “How does a nation lose its freedom? One way, of course is through foreign conquest. History is filled with examples of nations being subjugated and enslaved by foreign tyranny. Today, in the United States, Americans are not losing their liberty to a foreign power, but to domestic revolutionaries. The revolutionaries are willing to use force, as they showed in the summer of 2020 when they burned and looted their way through U.S. cities. But generally speaking, their weapon is not the gun or the jackboot, but demonization and intimidation. And now, with the Biden administration firmly ensconced in power, they move forward with their revolution with the firm backing of the state, and its weapons of repression and criminalization.”

Jack Engelhard gets to the point: “Liberals want your kids” I love this guy.

Nitzakhon: “Quick Takes – Hat Trick” (8) This one is even more incisive than most – and heartbreaking. Please read for the shocking details, but my short response is this: no one is coming to save you. Not Trump, not Durham, not Q, not the people at the rallies. Let’s be honest; “equal justice under law” is dead; the left will gleefully hurt you precisely as much as you will let them. The commenters whom Nitzakhon quotes are coming to believe that the only justice you will get – is the justice you deliver personally. Armchair warriors snarl menacingly, “War is coming.” I respond: “No, you fool. War is here, and you aren’t fighting.”

There stood an elderly woman wearing a mask who fearfully backed away from him because he was not wearing a mask. She said he had to wear a mask because otherwise she was afraid of infecting herself and then her husband. The doctor told her, No, she shouldn’t be afraid. And then he went up to her, took off her mask, and took her in his arms. The woman began to cry and said that no one had hugged her for more than a year.”

  1. No Fs? When there’s no official failure, it’s a sure sign that all we’ll get is failure. Of course, our elites have a special talent of failing upwards in their career trajectories. Maybe they don’t want the kids getting Fs because they have learned that failure is the road to success? Or maybe it is only the appearance of failure? Maybe they served their true interests well? This is all headache inducing.

Since education is in such a sorry state, I hope robust alternatives start to get built by determined individuals, and quickly. Homeschooling is great, but it is vulnerable on its own. I would like to see apprenticeships for all basic academic subjects, especially STEM areas. Students should be able to begin around the age of 15-16. Costs should be low, no more than the equivalent of 800 low wage labor hours per year, and that includes room and board. They really do not need more than 3 focused years on any basic subject, say physics etc. to get to a journeyman level, the rough equivalent of what bachelors degrees used to be. Each apprenticeship program should independently maintain its own standards, competing with the others.

If we continue to whine about the present centralized infrastructure without building a decentralized alternative, we will lose. It’s easy to win debate points. Building our own alternatives is hard work. It would be worth it. If all we do is build a Republican clone of the Democrat model, then we will fail. America was built by small independent efforts. There is no replacement for the hard work, determination and personal responsibility involved in that road. Prestige is garbage and it is easily manipulated. It is tempting, but it is poisonous. Just ask Adam amd Eve. Results are all that matter.

If we do not have independent research groups, labs, and factories in all trades, and I am including traditional STEM subjects as trades here, then we lose. Just think what it would be like if we had independent labs and factories that could independently manufacture and distribute generic ivermectin, quietly accepting any prescription authority necessary. This fight would have been very different. They would gave had to outright illegalize ivermectin, or revoke mass numbers of medical licenses in such a heavy handed fashion that I doubt they would have dared. It would at least have made it much more difficult. The more independent capabilities we have in research and manufacture, even small scale, the more the Left is helpless.

We should also have independent manufacture of inexpensive computers without all of the frills. All I care about really are one or two dozen applications. The world is not at our fingertips. We are at the fingertips of big tech.

We have become so dependent on prestige infrastructure that we have lost the habits of a free people.
